9. The abbreviation “Barbie” was first recorded in Australia in 1976 and originated when a series of tourism commercials. Starring Paul Hogan of Crocodile Dundee fame, actually said in an advertisement, “I’ll slip an extra shrimp on the barbie for you.”

10. According to a survey by Weber, United Kingdom, 48% of Britons say they are awful at barbequing.
